Come along and enjoy this special day where you will participate in activities that will enrich and assist you on a daily basis. Join others in the group and participate in the following activities:
- Strength Training – in this session you will learn the value of strength training as we age. Learn easy exercises that you can do in your own home on a daily basis.
- Meditation – join in this session and experience the value of meditation and how it can be integrated into your everyday life.
- Healthy Cooking – this will be a fun activity where you will learn some great tips to preparing simple healthy meals for a person living alone or a family.

‘Be Well’ Workshop

Would you like to learn ways to deal with stress and improve your mental health?
BE WELL is a fun & interactive information session that aims to increase people’s understanding about what the term ‘mental health’ really means and what are the most effective ways to develop good mental health and wellbeing. The talk draws on the latest mental health research and will be presented by Troy Macris from the City of Casey. The information session is suitable for anyone in the community who would like to learn more about how to ’Be Well’ on an everyday basis. Come and ask questions and engage in discussion along the way. Afternoon tea provided.
Free – Meditate For a Joyful, Healthy & Purposeful Life
Saturday 4th August | 2.00pm – 3.30pm
Pre-requisite – Weekly sessions – Your commitment and willingness to practice meditation for 5 weeks so that you can reap the benefits to the fullest.
Each week you will have a guided meditation, plus learn other meditation techniques. There will be talks from guest speakers on various topics.

Safe Food Handling – SITXFSA002 – Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices
Friday 21st September | 9.00am – 4.00pm
This one day course provides the skills and knowledge required to handle food safely during the storage, preparation, display, service and disposal of food. It applies to food handlers who directly handle food during the course of their daily work activities. This includes cooks, chefs, caterers, kitchen hands and food and beverage attendants.
Food handlers must comply with the requirements contained within the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code.

Put a Spring in your step and have some fun! Dancing is a beautiful learning experience to enjoyable music, and improves your mental and physical health. The additional class time of 1.00 pm on Wednesdays meets the needs of those who specifically enjoy sequenced dancing. Discounts are available for attendance at 2 classes in any one week. Tai Chi Beginner & Intermediate

Tai Chi is a gently, low-energy, physical – the slow movements strengthens muscles, conditions tendons and ligaments in the ankles, knees, hips and spine. Beneficial for many health conditions, including arthritis, and helps to increase stamina, strengthen the body and mind, and ease stress.

Walk & Talk is a FREE weekly walking group that meets at Balla Balla every Tuesday. Enjoy great self-paced walks, learn more about your neighborhood , meet new people in your area and get fit. Stay on after to enjoy a coffee and a chat.
Yoga for All With Relaxation (Day)

Iyengar Yoga focuses on the structural alignment of the body through the performance of posture and breath control.
