At long last we can let you know that Balla Balla Community Centre has found a new home.
In early 2021 the State Government announced they would build a new hospital on the Casey Complex site. While we were very happy that Cranbourne had been chosen for the new hospital, we knew we had no option but to move. Ever since then we have worked with the City of Casey to find an appropriate accessible new site for BBCC.
We are thrilled to announce that our new home will be at the Selandra Community Hub in Clyde North and our two communities will merge. The move will be at the end of this year, and from January 2023 the existing Selandra building will be known as Balla Balla Community Centre.
We want to assure you that all our services will continue in 2023 at the new location. All existing programs and services will continue to operate as normal for both centres until the end of this year. We will be working to ensure a smooth transition and amalgamation of the two organisations for our community, hirers and members.
BBCC has operated on our exiting site for 15 years and we have slowly been running out of space for programs, services and hires that we can offer. We will bring our 15 years of experience building a strong healthy connected community to the new and emerging community of Selandra who will bring their energy and hopes for the future. This relocation comes at a perfect time for us to expand and provide even more opportunities for our two communities.
